SAO Business Services LLC is developing a governance and standards framework intended to support fair, consistent, transparent, and professionally administered certification decisions. Program development will include clearly defined eligibility requirements, competency frameworks, examination specifications, ethics and professional conduct expectations, credential-use policies, appeals and complaints procedures, continuing certification requirements, and processes for suspension or revocation when appropriate. Clinical standards and examination content will be developed with qualified subject-matter experts in the relevant professional disciplines, while certification administration, policy, records, credential verification, and operational oversight will be managed through the certification organization. SAO Business Services is also evaluating recognized practices for personnel certification and examination development as its programs are built. No claim of third-party accreditation is being made at this time, and additional governance policies and program standards will be published as the certification system is developed.
